Former Manchester United striker Robin van Persie believes Erik ten Hag is one of the best coaches in football.
The former striker began working more closely with his compatriot, until today he is back at United’s training ground. Van Persie has been impressed with Ten Hag’s methods, as he used Instagram to thank the coach and the club for the experience.
“Thank you for the wonderful reception (Manchester United) and Erik ten Hag,” he wrote. “Great time at Carrington for a trip down memory lane and to learn from one of the most modern coaches in football today.”
Van Persie, who won the Premier League with United during his three years at the club, is studying to become a manager and has joined United’s staff after being invited by Ten Hag.
The Red Devils return to action on December 21 when they take on Burnley in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
