Jonathan David has said he is not distracted by rumors linking him with a move to Manchester, but the Canadian has admitted he is a big fan of the Premier League
There has been plenty of speculation suggesting the 22-year-old could soon make a move to England, with his potential already seen by several European sides. David is currently playing in France, with Lille, while he has played for his country at Qatar 2022, while he has scored 41 goals in 111 appearances for his Ligue 1 side.
These statistics are said to have awakened the interest of the team from Old Trafford. “I am not aware of anything. When I’m at the World Cup I’m focused here and we’re trying to enjoy it for a few more days. What happens then I don’t know, but we will see. “The Premier League is the best league in the world and I think every player would like to play there one day,” David said when asked about United.
David is a big fan of the English elite league and many teams are interested in him, but his price will also be big, as in addition to United, the two teams from North London, Arsenal and Tottenham are also interested in him.
David’s World Cup adventure with Canada – the first since 1986 – ended with three defeats in Group F and no points, although Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies broke the record by scoring the first goal for his national team.
