Monaco’s Sporting Director, Paul Mitchell, has confirmed that Malang Sarr will no longer be part of them.
The Frenchman joined Les Monegasques last summer on a season-long loan in a deal that included an option to buy.
But, he has not convinced the club leaders to make this move permanent.
Sarr has played just 17 times for Monaco this season. The 24-year-old has struggled with injuries, which saw him make his last appearance in March.
“Malang (Sarr) unfortunately picked up an injury, an abdominal muscle injury in training a few months ago, so he was not available for selection for a long time. Malang has already returned to Chelsea,” said Mitchell to “GFFN”.
The French defender has a valid contract with “Blue” until the summer of 2025.
