Real Madrid keeps a close eye on Alphonso Davies at the World Cup

According to the Spanish newspaper SPORT, Real Madrid is following several players closely at the World Cup in Qatar.

One of these is explosive Canadian superstar Alphonso Davie, who is their long-time favorite and Los Blancos consider Ferlan Mendy’s successor as a left-back.

Los Blancos are not sure if they should extend the current contract of the left defender Mendy, since he has not convinced them with his performances, especially in the offensive phase.

Davies (22) is regarded as one of the best left-backs in Europe and has made great strides at Bayern Munich in recent years.

The report adds that Davies is valued at somewhere in excess of €70 million. Because his contract with Bayern expires in 2025, Real Madrid will find it difficult to negotiate with Bayern, as they will not let go of such a valuable asset easily.
