Ramos future uncertain, PSG have two options for his replacement

Ahead of what will be another squad rebuild this summer, Paris Saint-Germain could find themselves focusing on recruiting for a position that previously seemed to have no need.

The arrival of Milan Skriniari as a free transfer from Inter is seen as an ideal reinforcement for the defensive line, but the uncertain future of Sergio Ramos and Presnel Kimpembe’s long lay-off due to injury has made signing the Slovakian unlikely.

Ramos’ contract expires in the summer of this year, as there is still no agreement reached to renew.

According to L’Equipe, PSG are now in the market for a left-footed defender, with Aymeric Laporte and Lucas Hernandez as possible options.

Laporte is believed to be ready to leave Manchester City due to insufficient space, while Barcelona is also interested.

The 28-year-old has a valid contract with Manchester City until the summer of 2025. He is valued at 30 million euros in the market.

Meanwhile, Hernandez has a valid contract with Bayern Munich until the summer of next year. This means that if there is no agreement for renewal, he can be sold this summer, in order not to leave as a free agent next year.

The 27-year-old is valued at 50 million euros in the transfer market.
