Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly ready to let Neymar leave.
The Parisians paid a record price of 222 million euros for his transfer from Barcelona in 2017.
According to “FootMercato”, PSG’s sports advisor, Luis Campos, was not against the sale of Neymar last year either, since his departure would give Kylian Mbappe the undisputed role in the club, which he also wants.
Now, with Mbappe under contract until the summer of 2025, the Qatari owners are said to be growing increasingly “tired” of the Brazilian and want him to leave.
Since returning after the World Cup, the 31-year-old is nowhere near the player he was at the start of the season.
The Brazilian made a stunning contribution with thirteen goals in PSG’s first five games in Ligue 1. Against Marseille and Monaco last week, however, Neymar appeared worried and angry with his team-mates as he failed to let trail in either match.
But, the French medium raised a question about the future of the former Barcelona striker, writing that “with a contract of 36 million euros per year that will expire when he will be 35 years old, will Neymar agree to leave from PSG if no other top European team can match his current wages? This remains to be seen.”
