Stefano Pioli has motivated his players before tomorrow’s challenge.
The coach of Milan says that the “Rossoneri” are calm and have confidence before the duel with Napoli, valid for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
The first leg will be played at San Siro and the Reds will try to get the most favorable result so that they can be comfortable in the second leg, which will then be played in Naples.
“We have continued our habits, our way of staying together and welcoming the daily work. We are calm, because we have prepared the game well, knowing what the difficulties are and what the Champions League brings”, Mlan’s coach initially declared for “Sky Sport”.
Is this the biggest and most prestigious game since it arrived in Milan?
“We are talking about the history of the club… However, Milan has not played in the Champions League for many years, so it will be an important game. We want to do our best to pass this round, knowing that Napoli is a strong team. But, at this stage of the tournament, it could not be otherwise”, adds Pioli.
“We have to have confidence because this is a different competition (unlike the 4:0 win in Serie A). Direct matches in the championship have shown us that we are two very strong teams. However, photocopies of past matches cannot be made. We have to be placed on the field in different situations and be able to understand which spaces to use and what choices we have to make”, says the Italian coach.
Napoli will not be able to count even in this match on the main attacker, Victor Osimhen, and without a doubt, this will be an advantage for the “Rossoneri”.
