Napoli has announced the dismissal of coach Rudi Garcia and the return of Walter Mazzarri.
“Societa Sportiva Calcio Napoli has decided to remove Mr. Rudi Garcia from the role of coach. We thank him and his staff for the cooperation shown so far”, says the short notice issued by the club.
The Frenchman, who took charge of Napoli at the start of this season, has led the team through 16 games – as they have won eight, drawn four and lost four.
Garcia’s successor is Mazzarri, who had led the Neapolitans from 2009 to 2013.
The 62-year-old won the Coppa Italia for Napoli in the 2011/12 season, overseeing 89 wins, 49 draws and 44 defeats.
