Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are looking for a new coach for next season.
The two London clubs are reportedly in the running for Luis Enrique, who has been free since leaving the Spanish national team at the end of last year.
Frank Lampard was appointed for the second time as Chelsea coach after the dismissal of Graham Potter, but this time only temporarily, until the end of this season.
Owner Todd Boehly is looking to secure a high-profile coach to lead his project starting next season.
On the other hand, Spurs also have a temporary coach, Cristian Stellini, who is replacing the dismissed Antonio Conte.
Thus, according to reports from the “Telegraph”, Tottenham is ready to challenge Chelsea for Enrique, with the latter believed to prefer the “Blues” more.
The 52-year-old has never managed an English team.
In addition to Spain, the Spaniard has also led Barcelona, Roma and Celta Vigo.
