Liverpool make final decision on Keitas and Chamberlain’s future

Liverpool have reportedly decided not to renew the contracts of Naby Keitan and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Both footballers will be free at the end of the season, as their contracts expire.

Keita and Chamberlain are not part of the club’s plans, as Jurgen Klopp prefers to play with all the other midfielders before the duo in question.

According to “The Athletic”, Liverpool will allow both midfielders to leave in the summer as free footballers, as they will not offer them renewal opportunities.

Chamberlain has been part of the Reds since 2017. The Englishman has made a total of 145 appearances in all competitions, scoring 18 goals and adding 15 assists.

For the 29-year-old, it has not yet been reported about the interest of any club.

On the other hand, Keita is linked with a transfer to Barcelona, as well as a return to Leipzig.

The midfielder from Guinea has been part of Liverpool since 2018.

The 28-year-old has scored 11 goals and seven assists in his 129 appearances with the Anfield club.
