Liverpool have identified Mohamed Salah’s replacement.
The Reds are enjoying a pretty good start to the season under new coach Arne Slot, topping the table after seven rounds.
In the Champions League, Liverpool also have two wins from two matches.
However, off the pitch, the futures of key players such as Salah, van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold remain open.
All three players mentioned will be free of their contracts at the end of the season.
Last month, after Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Manchester United, Salah said: “You know this is my last year at the club. I just want to enjoy it. It is not my decision (to stay), no one from the club has contacted me”.
With his future still open, Liverpool have begun searching for a replacement for the “Egyptian King”.
As reported by “BILD”, Borussia Dortmund star Karim Adeyemi has been targeted as a long-term replacement for the Egyptian star.
It was also reported that Liverpool is ready to pay 50 million euros for the representative of Germany next year.
Adeyemi moved to Dortmund in 2022 from RB Salzburg.
Since then, the 22-year-old has scored 19 goals in 74 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund.
