Jordi Alba admits that everything was easier when Lionel Messi was at Barcelona.
The Spanish left-back and the Argentinian striker spent a lot of time together at the Camp Nou winning numerous trophies with the Catalan giants.
They were even products of La Masia’s academy, while the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner left Catalonia in the summer of 2021 to join Paris Saint-Germain.
“We understood each other perfectly, he passed the ball to me at the right time. We formed a pretty good duo. With him, everything was easier. Almost all my assists were for him, I remember the first one was at El Sadar. In all aspects of the game, he is the best”, stated Alban of “Universo Valdano”
Messi “armored” the epithet of the best player in the history of football when he won the World Cup in Qatar in the second half of 2022.
“All football fans wanted Leo to win, for what he has done, for what he has suffered and for all that he has given to football, because he always wanted that cup”, concluded Alba.
