Inter wants to replace Lukaku with Thuram

Inter are planning to say goodbye to Romelu Lukaku at the end of the season in order to make room for out-of-contract player Marcus Thuram – write the media in Italy today

The 25-year-old Frenchman’s contract with Borussia Monchengladbach expires in June and their director Roland Virkus has confirmed that he will not sign a new contract.

Inter, Barcelona, Chelsea and Bayern Munich are some of the favorites to sign Thuram in the summer and Nerazzurri are very serious about the situation.

As detailed by Calciomercato.com, Inter are planning to return Lukaku to Chelsea in the summer after he failed to impress them on loan this season. Costing him 20 million euros in total, which includes the loan amount and the salary, the Belgian attacker has managed to score only 2 goals in 11 Serie A matches.

The Blues want to bring Lukaku back to West London and sign Thuram on a free transfer. La Gazzetta dello Sport that the club offered him a salary of 5 million euros per season in January, a proposal that is still on the table.
