After losing to Stuttgart in the Champions League for the first time this season, Juventus enters the Italian derby against Inter with less clarity and at least three formation-related doubts. Thiago Motta wants Teun Koopmeiners or Nico Gonzalez to be play against the other team because the nursing news is not the best.
Not to mention Douglas Luiz, who was expected to play against Stuttgart but was unable to do so because of a muscle pain during the warm-up. But after the medical visits revealed that he had no major issues, the Brazilian has eased the coach down a little.
Even though he is most likely not to play with the team, his comeback for the match against Inter is not guaranteed. However, Teun Koopmeiners and Nico Gonzalez might also play, which is half-good news for Douglas Luiz. Juventus wants to react quickly to the crushing loss on Sunday, but it is likely that Motta will not have Gonzalez and Koopmeiners part of it. The doctors have not yet confirmed that the Dutchman can play since he is still experiencing rib pain.
Despite being expected to be ready for the Italian derby, the former Fiorentina striker has not been able to heal in time. They do not like to take chances with “Ladies”. Because of this, the formation that will play against Inter will not be that different from the one used against Stuttgart. Locatelli will return as the midfielder from the first minute, while Di Gregorio will return as the goalkeeper and Gati and Cambiaso in defence.
