Rodri and Julian Alvarez could join Pep Guardiola at Barcelona if Manchester City are banned from the Premier League.
The “Citizens” are being investigated for 115 cases related to the financial rules of the Premier League, while the biggest rivals are hoping that the current English champions will be punished.
The Premier League dropped a bomb last Monday revealing that City is being investigated for the period 2009-2018, in which it is accused of many violations.
This can cause the “Citizens” to have their points deducted at the minimum, and at the most to be expelled from the Premier League and to take away the titles won in the English elite league.
This has made coach Pep Guardiola think about leaving.
If City is punished for these crimes, the Spanish coach can return to Barcelona, where he made a revolution years ago.
Also, he can take Rodri and Alvarez with him to Camp Nou.
Rodri is seen as an ideal replacement for Sergio Busquets in midfield, while Alvarez would compete with Robert Lewandowski in attack.
