According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, new Juventus president Gianluca Ferroro will bring Alessandro Del Piero back to the club to assist Federico Cherubini and Max Allegri in managing the team in terms of sport.
Juventus’ new board of directors will be appointed on January 18, 2023, after the previous board resigned last Monday.
According to Gazzetta, club legend Alessandro Del Piero could be the new board member as President Ferrero and Exor Chairman John Elkann are planning to invite the former number 10 to the club, offering him an operational role.
In the letter, Del Piero appears as a replacement for Pavel Nedved, the former vice president who resigned on Monday together with all the board members.
Exor aims to fill the board of directors with technical staff after the chaos to improve the club’s financial situation.
Del Piero can replace Nedved by becoming the vice president of Juventus, but the talks with the former number 10 have not started yet. The 2006 World Cup winner with Italy did not rule out a return to the club on Monday evening, shortly after Juventus’ board of directors and president resigned.
