The Red Devils drew with an out-of-form Crystal Palace side at Selhurst Park tonight.
Marcus Rashford was about to strike for the first time for the visitors in the eighth minute of the match but his shot was blocked by the Crystal Palace defence.
United’s second chance came in the 16th minute when Luke Shaw crossed to Aaron Wan-Bissaka who fired hard but the ball ended up just wide of Crystal’s right-hand post.
Shaw would risk again with a cross for striker Weghourst but his header was off target.
Crystal Palace had the best chance to score in the 41st minute but Edouard’s shot went wide.
The goal for United would come in the 44th minute of the first half. Christian Eriksen played a pass into the area for Bruno Fernandes who took a powerful shot with his right to make it 0-1.
The draw moves United level on points with second-placed Manchester City on 39, while the Red Devils’ next game is against leaders Arsenal, who are eight points ahead of them and have a game in hand.
Crystal Palace moved up to 12th place with 23 points, leaving it just a little away from the relegation zone from the Premier League. Crystal Palace’s next game is at home to fourth-placed Crystal Palace on Saturday.
