Barcelona has been kicked out of the King’s Cup for this edition.
The Catalans were defeated in the quarter-finals by Athletic Bilbao after 120 minutes of play with a score of 4:2.
During the regular 90 minutes, there was no winner, while the result was 2:2.
The Basques took the lead in the first minute of the match when Guruzeta scored.
But the Catalans responded by reversing the result with two quick goals by Lewandowski in the 26th minute and Lamine Yamal six minutes later.
Athletic Bilbao then managed to equalize the result in the 49th minute, while until the end there were no more goals.
And at the end of the two continuations, Athletic Bilbao scored twice through the Williams brothers to qualify for the semi-finals.
Barcelona, on the other hand, is still fighting for the title in La Liga and is still in contention in the Champions League.
