Arsenal takes the second victory in the Premier League with a lot of suffering

Arsenal won the Premier League narrowly by defeating the Crystal Palace team in the local derby. The only goal in this match was scored by Martin Odegard (54′) from the penalty spot.

A victory full of suffering for Arsenal against Crystal Palace, especially after the red card exclusion of the defender Tomiyasu, but which gives full points to Mikel Arteta’s team until the second round of the English Premier League has ended with this match.

Arsenal started this match much better with the first chance they registered in the second minute of the match through Martinelli. The striker received a good ball in the area and hit it but this shot was blocked by the defense of the locals.

The 29th minute marked Arsenal’s second chance when striker Nketiah managed to get past two defenders but only hit the right post of Crystal’s goal.

Palace had the first chance in the 35th minute with Ayew taking the first shot but the ball ended up over Ramsadale’s goal.

Another good chance for Arsenal was in the 36th minute when Nketiah was face to face with the goalkeeper but failed to score by firing the ball over the goal.

The last chance in the first half was that of Martin Odegaard who made a strong shot but was blocked by Sam Johnstone.

The second half started very well for Arsenal when Nketiah won a penalty. Martinelli followed neatly for the Englishman until he was tripped by Johnstone to give away the penalty.

Martin Odegard made a perfect penalty kick to take the lead in the 54th minute.

Partey was close to scoring the second goal for the visitors but his shot was saved by the Crystal Palace goalkeeper.

But, precisely in the 67th minute, things became very difficult for Arsenal, when Takehiro Tomiyasu received the second yellow card and was expelled from the game.

From this minute, Crystal Palace’s unaligned attacks suffered, with Arsenal defending constantly but in the end managing to get a victory and the next three points in the Premier League.

This victory makes Arsenal rise to third place with 6 points behind Brighton who is first and Manchester City second.

Crystal Palace in the next match is expected to have another local derby where they will play against the other London team, Brentford as guests.

Also, Arsenal are expected not to leave London this week as they will host the Fulham team at home, this is also another local derby.
