Arsenal secured Jorginho’s services on the last day of the January transfer window.
The English media report that the “Gunners” will pay Chelsea 12 million pounds (about 15 million euros) for the qualitative midfielder.
The 31-year-old is expected to join the Gunners today after the Premier League leaders feared they could fail at the last minute in their bid to sign Brighton winger Moises Caicedo.
Jorginho is going through the last year of his contract with the “Blues” and the latter, in order not to lose him without money during the coming summer, decided to sell him now, reports the British medium “The Athletic”.
The Brazilian representative will sign a contract until the summer of 2024, with the possibility of extension for another year.
He will join Granit Xhakas and Thomas Partey in the midfield, in an attempt to win the title of champion in the Premier League after the long wait.
Jorginho was transferred to “Stamford Bridge” from Napoli in 2018 for 50 million pounds.
