Sergio Aguero is ready to return to the football playing field this year.
The former Manchester City striker was forced to retire from football in 2021 following medical advice after he was diagnosed with heart problems.
The 34-year-old has now announced that he will play for Ecuadorian side Barcelona de Guayaquil (a team founded by Barcelona fan Eutimio Perez in 1925) in their Noche Amarilla friendly.
Noche Amarilla is a friendly/traditional game played against different teams. The first match will be on January 28.
“I’m looking forward to Noche Amarilla, to have fun and have a good time with Barcelona SC fans. I have been checked by the cardiologist, I am very well and I have already started training, so I will be able to play in Noche Amarilla. I hope to have fun and feel the pitch again”, said Aguero.
