Hot race for the “Golden Shoe”, Lewandowski challenges Haaland

After Harry Kane’s triumph last season, in this edition the competition for the “Golden Boot” award, which is given to the best scorer in Europe, is quite open.

Erling Haaland, winner of this award in the 2022/23 season, wants to repeat this achievement and has started the 2024/25 season in exceptional fashion.

Despite not scoring last weekend, the Norwegian striker has scored 10 goals in 7 games for Manchester City in the Premier League this season.

Robert Lewandowski is taking care of risking the primacy of the ex-Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund player.

The Polish striker scored a hat-trick at the weekend against Alaves to reach the 10-goal mark and thus join Haaland at the top of the list.

The former Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich player has started the new season furiously under coach Hansi Flick, who seems to have revived the experienced striker.

In the third place and the one who closes the podium is Victor Guokeres, who is shining with Sporting, while behind him is Omar Marmoush of Eintracht Frankfurt, who scored two goals against Bayern Munich, while the fifth position is reserved for the striker of Inter, Marcus Thuram.

So, the race for the “Golden Shoe” will be quite tough and fiery in this edition, of course with the favorites Haaland and Lewandowski.
