The coach of Atletico Madrid, Diego Simeone, has commented on the incident that happened in Sunday’s match with Real Madrid.

The match between Atletico and Real was interrupted in the second half for 20 minutes due to the throwing of objects on the field by Atletico fans.

In an interview for “DAZN”, Simeone said that the fans who threw things on the field should be punished.

“My opinion is that the people who have made incidents should be sanctioned by the club. We don’t need these people. We need people who accompany us and support us. They damage the club”, said Simeone.

Atletico and Real drew 1:1 in the eighth round of La Liga.
