Arsenal join the race for Sow’s transfer

Lazio have an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt for Djibril Sow, but he asked for time to review it and now Arsenal have joined the race for his transfer.

In Italy last week it was reported that Lazio reached an agreement for the transfer of Sow for 15 million euros (plus bonuses), as they offered the player a four-year contract with a salary of 2.5 million euros per season.

However, the 26-year-old asked for a few days to think about his next step, even after a direct phone call with the coach, Maurizio Sarri.

At the time it was said that Sevilla had made a similar offer the Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder wanted to consider.

But now there is even tougher competition for Lazio, but also for Sevilla. “Calciomercato” has reported that Arsenal has entered the race for Sow.

The Italian medium also writes that the Lazio coach, Sarri, is not completely convinced that the Swiss representative is the right player to replace Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and this is also hindering the move.

Sow has a valid contract with Eintracht Frankfurt until the summer of next year. Thus, the German club intends to sell him this summer, to avoid his departure as a free footballer next year.

The club from Frankfurt wants at least 15 million euros for his sale.
