RB Leipzig sporting director Max Eberl has confirmed that there is no agreement between the club and Manchester City for Josko Gvardioli.
When asked about the transfer situation, Eberl told Sky Germany: “There is no agreement with Manchester City. Not even close.”
This statement comes after reports that the two clubs have agreed a deal for Gvardioli and that the defender has also completed his medical.
It is also believed that the Croatian has already agreed personal terms with the English and European champions.
Leipzig are demanding 100 million euros to release the 21-year-old, which would be a world record transfer for a defender.
On the other hand, Man City has not yet approached such a price.
“Citizens” were earlier rejected an offer of 90 million euros.
Otherwise, Josko Gvardiol has a valid contract with Leipzig until the summer of 2027.
