A new life among sheikhs for Kalidou Koulibaly, who signed a three-year contract with Al-Hilal a few days ago with a salary of 30 million euros per year.
“I have chosen the best team of the Arab championship”, says the African footballer first in an interview for the Italian daily “Corriere dello Sport”, while explaining that his decision is not only a matter of money.
“I am happy because as a Muslim I have come to the right place. And, I am enthusiastic to be one of the first to embrace an emerging championship, I hope to help Saudi Arabia and Al-Hilal write a new sporting history. Also, it is a very important contract”, adds the former Chelsea player.
“Also, I can help my family live better, including my siblings, relatives, and above all to support the social activities of my association ‘Capitane du Coeur’ in Senegal,” continued the former Napoli football player.
He feels quite happy that his former club was declared the champion of Italy, while he considers the experience at Chelsea as excellent and the Premier League as fantastic, although he did not play at the levels that everyone expected.
