Kovacic reaches agreement with Man City

Mateo Kovaciv is expected to continue his career at Manchester City.

According to the well-known journalist, Fabrizio Romano, the Croatian midfielder has reached a personal agreement with Manchester City after advanced talks that started last week.

Chelsea are open to selling Kovacic as his contract expires in June next year, with the player also said to be keen on a move.

The next step must now be between the clubs. Chelsea and Manchester City will discuss the fee after the Champions League final.

The future of Ilkay Gundogan could be decisive in a possible move of the former Real Madrid midfielder to the Etihad.

The German representative is believed to leave the English champions after playing in the Champions League final.

However, Manchester City are leading the race as the long-term deal for Kovacic is ready.

Based on “Transfermarkt”, the 29-year-old is valued at 40 million euros.
