Erling Haaland decided to move to Manchester City last summer despite offers from other big European clubs.
One of the managers of the Norwegian attacker, Rafaela Pimenta, has revealed the main reason why the former Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund player decided to join the current champion of England.
“Haaland wanted City to follow in his father’s footsteps. He strongly wanted to work under the direction of Pep Guardiola”, she said.
“It takes 2/3 years to prepare for a big move and Haaland was in contact with clubs. He did the same,” he continued.
The next step for the Norwegian representative could be Real Madrid, who have wanted him for some time.
