Real Madrid is reported to have “blocked” the possibility of leaving Marco Asensio in this winter transfer window, despite the fact that he still has 6 months left on his contract.
Paris Saint-Germain are said to have turned their attention to Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech on deadline day, but this is believed to have only happened after the Parisians failed to land the Spaniard.
Asensio is free to negotiate an agreement with any interested parties at the moment, but his desire is to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu until the end of the season.
Even Real Madrid’s response to PSG is said to have been decisive: “Madrid will not listen to any offer for Asensio in this transfer window as the priority is to tie him to a new contract. “Los Blancos” didn’t even give PSG the chance to approach him officially”, revealed the Spanish medium, “Relevo”.
However, Asensio’s future remains unclear, considering his contract expires in the summer.
There are reports that the 27-year-old is in talks to renew his contract with Real Madrid, but there is still nothing concrete.
However, for now it is known that Asensio’s desire is to stay at the reigning champions of Europe and Spain.
