Real Madrid will compete in the Spanish Super Cup final

Penalties were what determined the finalist of the Spanish Super Cup in the match between Real Madrid and Valencia. Real Madrid was the best in penalties. Benzema (39′) scored the only goal during regular time for Los Blancos, while Lino (46′) equalized for Valencia.

Real Madrid has managed to reach the final of the Spanish Super Cup by defeating the Valencia team on penalties.

The regular time of this match ended with a 1-1 draw.

The first chance in this match came in the 14th minute through Karim Benzema who shot but the ball was intercepted by the goalkeeper to go to Valverde but in the end his shot ended up very close to the left post of the gate.

Valencia would risk four minutes later with Edinson Cavani but it was Thibout Courtois who made a spectacular save to deny the Uruguayan a goal.

The 30th minute marked another chance for Real Madrid through Vinicious Junior. The Brazilian made a good pass in the area and shot but goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili made an amazing save denying his goal.

Karim Benzema won a penalty in the 38th minute after a counter-attack, until he was tripped by Comert.

Benzema converted the penalty into goal going in the first half break with a score of 1-0.

The second half started much better for Valencia.

Lato made a spectacular cross from almost midfield to find Lino who scored the equalizer in the 46th minute of the match.

After the goal, the game was quiet with Real Madrid constantly threatening Valencia’s goal but not Mamardashvili.

Los Blancos’ best chance of the match was in the fifth minute of extra time when Vinicius Jr failed to score one-on-one with the Valencia goalkeeper.

So after that, it took two 15-minute overtimes to determine the winner of this semi-final.

The first part of the continuations Real Madrid were better again and the first chance in the match came in the 92nd minute but the kick of Vinicius Jr was received by Mamardashvilli.

Yes, in the first overtime, Los Blancos had a good opportunity to score, but again it was the goalkeeper of Valencia who denied the goal to Toni Kroos in the 105th minute of the match.

The second half of extra time was more balanced with some early forays from Valencia into attack but they were not successful in changing the result.

Perez had the best chance to score for Valencia but once again Courtois managed to come out victorious in front of him.

So it was the penalties that determined the winner and from the penalty spot the Real Madrid players were the most accurate and won the match with a score of 4-3.
