Dumfries Agent: I hope its value didn’t go up too much

Defensive winger Denzel Dumfries’ agent says she hopes his value doesn’t skyrocket this World Cup, as that would “make it difficult” for him to move to three London clubs, Chelsea , Tottenham and Arsenal who are looking for him.

He has been amazing for the Netherlands these days, picking up the FIFA Man of the Match award after a 3-1 rout against the USA, where he scored a goal and provided two assists.

It is reported that his price has increased from €40 million to at least €50 million and if he plays at such a high level in Qatar, it could rise again.

Agent Rafaela Pimenta was on Sky Sport Italia last night and was asked if she sees the price of Dumfries rising and whether it will be high.

“I hope not, otherwise it would be difficult for me to transfer him,” she replied to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

Chelsea have long expressed an interest in him, but Arsenal and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham team have also shown interest in recent weeks.

The 26-year-old moved from PSV Eindhoven to Inter in 2021 for just €14.25m and his market value has doubled since then.

He has scored seven goals and made 10 assists in 65 competitive matches for Inter, continuing his high form this season as he has two goals and three assists under his belt.

Dumfries was brought in to replace Achraf Hakim and many media reports that he will be sold in order to generate cash from his sale, no later than the summer.
