World runners-up Croatia started the World Cup in Qatar with a 0-0 draw, with Morocco having a good game against the Croatians. This was the first match in Group F, where besides Croatia and Morocco there are also Belgium and Canada.
Croatia failed to do much against Morocco in the opening match of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Croatians and Moroccans were equal in this match and the result was fair, both for one and for the other team.
The first half started calmly with the first chance of the match coming from Croatia’s Ivan Perisic who launched a powerful shot from distance in the 17th minute.
Croatia threatened Morocco at the end of the second half through Nikola Vlasic, but Boni deflected the ball and saved Morocco from conceding a goal.
Modric also had an opportunity to score in the second minute of the first half, but the ball was over the post of the Moroccan goal.
Morocco threatened Croatia in the 51st minute with Noussair Mazraoui’s header but the ball was saved by Dominik Livakovic, who made a brilliant save.
The last minutes of the match were better for the Croatians who attempted more goals, while Morocco tried to come forward on the counterattacks.
However, there were no concrete opportunities and the match ended with the most deserved possible result in this match.
